How to use Magic Canvas to create AI-generated images on your Motorola phone
In the age of artificial intelligence, generating images from your phone is easier than ever. Google and Samsung both have their own ways of generating AI images for images, so it’s no surprise that Motorola also has a feature on certain devices that lets you do just that.
Magic Canvas started out as a way to generate wallpaper images, but has since evolved into a much more powerful tool. The feature, now part of Motorola’s new Moto AI suite, produces impressive images simply by inputting text prompts using a variety of image styles. It works similarly to the Google Pixel Studio app, which means users of Motorola phones don’t have to miss out on the ability to create interesting images that they can use as wallpapers or share with friends.
How to use Magic Canvas
1. Press and hold The main screen brings up the custom menu.
2. Click wallpaper.
3. Click Created with artificial intelligence.
4. Click magic canvas. If you are not already logged in, you may be prompted to log in motorcycle account. Click it and follow the prompts to log in or create an account, otherwise continue with the next steps.

6. Select the desired aspect ratio. You can choose 1:1 (square) or 9:16 (portrait).
7. Select the desired style. Options include Abstract, Cartoon, Fantasy, Futuristic, Impressionist, Minimalist, Pop Art, Realism, Surrealism, and Retro.
8. Click produce images and wait for image generation to complete. This should take a few seconds.
Once the image is generated, you can save it to the gallery, copy it for later use, share it, or set the image as wallpaper. If you don’t like the results, you can click “Redo” and Magic Canvas will generate another version of the image based on your prompts.
Start creating, but with limits
Magic Canvas is a fun tool that lets you let your imagination run wild and create fun and unique images instantly. However, there are restrictions on the types of images you can create. Magic Canvas may not generate certain images if they are considered sensitive subject matter, and you will receive a warning if you attempt to generate such images.
In addition, any image created using Magic Canvas will have a watermark in the lower left corner that reads “AI Generated Image.” It might not be as flashy as the watermarks on Galaxy AI-generated images, but it should get the job done to ensure images are properly tagged.
Finally, Magic Canvas is not available on all Motorola phones. The feature appears to be limited to higher-end devices such as the 2024 Razr series and Edge 50 series. To check if your phone has Magic Canvas, follow the first few steps in this guide and see if it appears in the “Create with AI” section of the wallpaper settings menu.
