RayNeo X3 Pro is an updated product of the AR glasses series i tried beforebut this time they are much smaller. Judging from RayNeo’s photos, the 3-ounce glasses look ordinary, but they have built-in dual Micro LED displays projected through waveguides onto clear lenses. RayNeo’s previous glasses were equipped with a VR chip to support its AR/AI functions, the same chip found on the Quest 2. AI optimizes. They still have dual cameras, room tracking, and even hand tracking. The X3 Pro will launch later in 2025, with pricing still unknown.
The previous RayNeo X2 glasses were bulky, had limited battery life, and were heavier (4.3 ounces, compared to 3 ounces for the X3 Pro). They also have a very narrow field of view, limiting the bright display to a tiny floating window, according to reviewers.
Will the X3 Pro be better and more reliable? CNET hopes to demonstrate them soon so we can learn more. The glasses also don’t appear to be part of Google’s upcoming AR and AI-focused Android XR at the moment, although it would make sense for them at some point.
The RayNeo Air X3 display glasses are similar to those made by companies like Xreal, promising improvements in audio and video.
RayNeo’s other new glasses follow a familiar form: The X3 Air are display glasses, similar to those offered by Xreal and other companies. RayNeo promises a 200,000:1 contrast ratio, a 201-inch equivalent virtual display, and better audio, but they don’t seem to be able to auto-anchor the display like the new ones Xreal glasses Yes – and there’s no specific information on field of view or display type. The V3, meanwhile, is a pair of glasses with a camera and audio, similar to Meta’s Ray-Bans. All of these glasses look set to be available later this year, but again, no pricing is available just yet.
However, I was impressed by how much smaller the X3 Pro glasses are. While the RayNeo’s field of view is undoubtedly much smaller… and its software services are still relatively unknown, the AR glasses that Meta promises are starting to arrive.
