Lenovo revealed these details at the CES 2025 gaming hardware launch conference. The company posted details on three new upcoming handheld gaming computers on its website, including the Lenovo Legion Go 2. , but one runs Windows, just like the larger Legion Go 2, and the other runs the Steam operating system for a Steam Deck-like gaming experience.
Lenovo describes some of the benefits of the Legion Go S Steam OS as “Cloud storage means seamless transition between PC games and handheld devices, Remote Play to stream games from PC to device, full Steam Store and Steam library access ”.
Coming back to the Legion Go 2, Lenovo also revealed that it will come with 32GB of 7500MHz LPDDR5X RAM, which is twice as much as the original version. A pair of USB Type-C ports are also confirmed, so you can connect devices for charging as well as connect peripherals. We’ll have to wait and see if it handles Asus’ new external RTX 5090 GPU well, though.
While it’s still officially a prototype, Lenovo describes the Legion Go 2 as having a significantly rounder, more comfortable-looking design, and also includes “a round Lenovo Legion TrueStrike controller with round directional keys for faster, more accurate maneuvers.” enter.
The device also comes with up to 2TB of SSD storage and a 74Whr battery, although Lenovo has yet to make any claims about the battery life of the device.
