Another day, another free Epic Games Store game. This time it is Killer Knightis the developer and publisher of PlaySide, an aggressive top-down shooter. If you’re in the market for a cross between Doom and Diablo 4, this is it. The game is well worth a try.

Kill Knight is an isometric, ultra-violent hack-and-shooter hybrid with a gritty retro style and a propulsive soundtrack. It’s a challenging and enjoyable arcade action game, and it’s also new, having just launched in October of this year. Its mission is to hunt down the last living angel and reduce hordes of monsters into slimy stains on the floor while chasing leaderboard position.

Given that it’s so new, Kill Knight still gets regular support from PlaySide, with its latest update on December 18th adding new weapons, gear, and lore.

You can pick up Kill Knight for a bargain price from the Epic Games Store until tomorrow, December 29 at 8am PT / 4pm GMT, when it will be replaced by another free PC game .
