Is NAD+ the beauty supplement you’ve been waiting for?

When it comes to everyday matters of health and well-being, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with options. Collagen, biotin, B vitamins and super greens, there’s always a new health buzzword in the beauty world. The latest supplement to gain traction is NAD, another naturally occurring coenzyme thought to have significant anti-aging and energy-boosting properties. So, what is it and how does it work?

What is NAD+?

NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells and plays a vital role in energy production and regulating cellular aging. NAD+ has gained a lot of attention in the beauty and wellness industries in recent years for its potential benefits to skin health and overall longevity.

NAD+ and skin care

NAD and its precursor (NAD+) are becoming increasingly popular in skin care products due to their potential anti-aging properties. It is thought to be essential for improving skin elasticity and firmness, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, enhancing skin regeneration and strengthening the skin barrier.

In addition to skin care, NAD is believed to have a variety of health benefits. It plays a vital role in cellular energy production, potentially increasing overall vitality and reducing fatigue. Likewise, supplementing with NAD+ can improve sleep. Some research suggests that NAD+ may support brain health and cognitive function, especially as we age. NAD+ Supplement

Although the body naturally produces NAD, some people choose to increase their levels by supplementing with NAD precursors such as NMN (nicotinic acid mononucleotide) or NR (nicotinic acid nucleoside).
