Marriott Bonvoy, MGM Resorts increase benefits for 2025

Marriott and MGM Resorts are heading into 2025 with some new updates to their loyalty partnership.
A year after the two brands announced details of a partnership, guests looking to take advantage of Marriott Bonvoy benefits when staying at MGM Resorts will receive even more benefits. The changes, which go into effect on January 1, will bring enhanced accommodation benefits in the new year, including at MGM Collection’s Bellagio, Aria and Cosmopolitan and other hotels.
In addition, several benefits previously scheduled to expire at the end of 2024 are now permanent for Marriott Bonvoy elite members. These benefits are available at MGM Resorts based on your Marriott Bonvoy membership level.

New and Improved Marriott Bonvoy Benefits at MGM Resorts for 2025
Marriott Elite members have three enhanced benefits in the new year:
- Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members receive a $20 food and beverage credit per night (was $15)
- Discounts on select shows available to Platinum Elite members, subject to availability (previously available only to Titanium and Ambassador Elite members)
- Platinum and Titanium Elite members receive a 10% retail discount and Ambassador Elite members receive a 15% retail discount; exceptions apply (previously only available to Ambassador Elite members)
Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador elites can now share in this suite of benefits that were previously limited to certain status levels – a positive change for 2025. Please note that Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members will still receive a $30 food and beverage credit per night at W Las Vegas.

Marriott Bonvoy Elites enjoy permanent promotional offers
Additionally, for Marriott Bonvoy elite members staying at MGM Resorts in Las Vegas, several benefits that were on sale and were set to expire at the end of 2024 are now permanent.

Benefits for Marriott Bonvoy Silver and Gold Elite members remain unchanged. Elite Silver members can still earn 10% bonus Bonvoy points on qualifying purchases at MGM Resorts, while Elite Gold members can earn 25% bonus points on qualifying purchases plus 500 bonus points per stay. Welcome gift.

More status matches from MGM Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy
The most recent update involves MGM Rewards’ status match program with Marriott Bonvoy, which allows MGM elite members to achieve elite status with Marriott.
The game used to be available only at the program’s highest tiers, MGM Rewards Platinum and Black. But in 2025, MGM Rewards updated its tier match program to include MGM Rewards Pearl and Gold, matching the Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite and Gold Elite cards, respectively.
