My new way to organize Christmas decorations

Every year after Christmas when I put away the decorations I gather all the garlands together in one box, all the candlesticks together in another box, and all my Christmas sets go in their own in the box. We labeled the boxes “garland,” “candles,” “nativity set”… which looks great until you remember you have a front door wreath, a mantle wreath, and a hood wreath. Which? The same goes for wreaths and birthdays!
every year when we take down The Christmas gift boxes were out and we moved them all to the same floor. Then we ran up and down the stairs for a week, putting everything where it belonged. Did you know? I won’t do it next year!
How do I start storing holiday decorations?
My new method? I’m organizing my Christmas decorations by room!

There will be boxes labeled “Kitchen Greening” which include kitchen wreaths, stems, and garlands. Then there’s another “kitchen counter” box with carefully packaged ceramic gingerbread houses, Santa mugs and plates that are always on display in the kitchen.
Then next year I can put all kitchen With the Christmas decoration boxes coming down from the attic, they can go straight to their destination room instead of leaving everything at the top of the stairs and running around. I don’t know how I didn’t think of this before!
Packing by room makes more sense to me. Like, I have multiple Christmas trees, but in the past, I took all the decorations off and grouped them together. Although I usually redistribute the ornaments to the same tree!

The best way to store Christmas decorations
I think we feel a little forced to feel like we have to group “likes” with “likes.” Because some bags and boxes seem to be designed for specific types of products. You may have a decorative storage box and think everything needs to go in it. But if you have two trees that you decorate regularly, one for your kids and one for your family, maybe you’ll get two ornament storage bins! All of my Precious Moments ornaments hang on the living room tree and from now on they will all be in the same box.

Trash cans | shelves | work lights | label bags | label cards
I really wanted to relate this Christmas storage hack to my way of “thinking outside the box” but that doesn’t come naturally 🙂 So let’s just say, I’m reinventing my post-Christmas with this storage hack Decorative cleanup can save yourself a lot of time next year.
