Smart home deals to take advantage of when you first move

All these deals are available from Amazon. Most products are labeled as “limited time offers,” with the exception of “Nu-sin” products.

Kasa smart light bulb KL135P2 (2-pack)

I can’t live without smart light bulbs, and these are an easy and affordable way to get started with a smart home. Especially if you take advantage of these smart home deals.

I only needed two smart lights, so this 2-pack was perfect for my needs and met all my criteria. The Kasa smart bulb KL135P2 is brighter than usual at 1,000 lumens and also offers full color customization with 16 million shades to choose from. The white light temperature range is between 2500 K and 9000 K.

Two sets are only $17.99, which is a great deal. I did find cheaper ones, but they generally lacked color support and weren’t as bright, and the extra savings were about a buck or two. I might as well buy these, they work great.

Like the new Ring video doorbell

I also had to make sure I had a doorbell, and since I was already invested in the Ring ecosystem, using a Ring video doorbell seemed like the most straightforward option. Sadly, all the Ring deals seemed to be gone, but then I came across these “like new” options.

This Ring Video Doorbell has seen a lot of use, but Amazon has inspected it and made sure it’s in good condition. It does look “like new”. I can’t find any scratches on mine and it works perfectly. Plus, it comes with the same warranty as a new device, giving you peace of mind.

The camera itself is pretty good. It can record in 1,080p. It supports real-time video, two-way calls, quick replies, packaging reminders, etc. The battery is built-in and charges via USB-C.

Like the new ring upright cam battery

I already have two ring sticker cameras, but I need to cover more space in a new location. This time, I’m not sharing any walls. Again, the Ring Stick Up Cam wasn’t sold in mint condition, but I checked to see if there were any “like new” deals and was surprised to find it on sale for $49.99. I even got two for me!

I’ve been using Stick Up Cams for years and really have no complaints. They are good looking, have seen a lot of rain, and mostly live outside without any problems.

The camera can record 1,080p video, provide motion detection and support cloud storage. You’ll also get instant video, two-way chat, and more. The 110-degree field of view is great, and so is the night vision.

The Echo Show 8 is a great smart display for those invested in Amazon’s device ecosystem.

The Echo Show 8 is Amazon’s mid-range smart display. Its 8-inch screen expands the capabilities of Alexa, adding a visual interface, a web browser, video calling, and the ability to check doorbells and security cameras. You also get video news and recipes, as well as streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video.

I’ve avoided buying an Echo Show for years simply because I thought my phone and tablet would do the job just fine. However, I figured it was time to give myself a little reward for managing my smart home devices and cameras. I deserve this, right?

Anyway, I bought an Amazon Echo Show 8 and this one is new to me. This is one of the few items on Amazon that’s still discounted at $84.99, which is a nice discount considering the retail price is $149.99.

You know: It has an 8-inch screen that’s comfortable enough to manage your smart home devices, watch content, make video calls, and more. Additionally, the sound is great thanks to two 2-inch neodymium stereo speakers with passive bass radiators. It also has a built-in Zigbee hub, so you can connect smart devices directly to it and organize your Wi-Fi network.

That said, if you want to save money and don’t mind the smaller screen, lack of Zigbee support, and single 1.7-inch speaker, you can also buy the smaller Amazon Echo Show 5 for $44.99.

Nothing can stop me from saving money! I just refuse to pay full price, especially when I’ve been exposed to so many smart home deals here Android Authority. Overall, I think I did a pretty good job with these and saved some cash, even if I was a little late to the party. It would be even better if I bought these all before Christmas!
