The Best Smart Ovens of 2024

If you’re a smart home enthusiast, consider adding some smart technology to your kitchen with a smart oven. These devices not only offer internet connectivity, but also feature smart displays with Bluetooth thermometers, recipe guides, and even integration with Samsung Family Hub smart refrigerators.
Many of the best smart ovens even work with voice assistants, while others use AI cameras to identify food or scan frozen meals and pizza packages at your local grocery store. They also make the perfect holiday gift for the person who has everything. Here are the best smart ovens to consider, test and review by our CNET kitchen experts. We’ll continue to add to this list as we test other options or new smart ovens come to the market.

The Tovala Smart Oven is built around meal kits carefully designed by Tovala chefs. These meal kits are pricey, starting at $10 per serving, but you can buy the toaster oven without the meals and still get the most out of it.
That’s because the Tovala smart oven can scan 750 different groceries from local stores and cook your dishes using steam, bake, grill and toast functions during the cooking process. There’s no voice assistant compatibility, but there is a Tovala app where you can control the oven, view recipes, and more.
If you’re interested in the Tovala Countertop Toaster Oven, I recommend trying meal kits because they’re easy to make, delicious, and fun. This oven often goes on sale or other promotions for less than the MSRP of $299, so if price is a barrier, check the Tovala website for deals.

This category is only a few years old, but we’ve already seen a lot of growth. We tested the limited edition smart oven from Whirlpool WLabs. Launched on Kickstarter, the Suvie kitchen robot uses water to chill and cook your entire meal. Then, Anova released the smart oven in 2021.
These ovens may be the best out there, but they certainly won’t be the last. More and more companies are showing interest in this category, so we will continue to test new models as they emerge.
