The critically acclaimed Quake-style spin-off Postal is now 70% off on Steam

From top-down to first-person to third-person and back again, The Post is a shooter series that has gone through a lot of gameplay, but some things have remained the same – insanity, violence, and more Often controversial. However, one of the best postal games isn’t actually a mainline game. A Quake-style retro baby boomer shooter coming in 2022 Postal brain damage The reviews are extremely high, and it’s super cheap now on Steam.

Yes, the latest big Steam sale may be over, but even without a seasonal sale happening, you can always rely on the Valve storefront to bring you some nice discounts. The price cut for Postal Brain Damaged caught my eye because it gets you one of the highest-rated FPS games on Steam for under $8.

All the dystopian, disgusting, and insane traits of The Post remain in this spin-off of the main series, but in the form of a classic baby boomer shooter. Developed by Hyperstrange and CreativeForge rather than the curators of the Run with Scissors series, you’ll enter the mind of the Postal Kid himself and fight your way through some surreal levels.

You have access to an array of weapons that are either familiar to fans of other classic games (like a Doom-inspired shotgun) or downright ridiculous (like a vacuum cleaner that shoots cats). In a rather unique twist on elemental combat, you can also switch between three urine modes, turning your pee into liquid nitrogen, hot sauce, or questionable moonshine. Yes, really.

Despite its crude premise, the Postal spin-off boasts an incredibly high “overwhelmingly positive” Steam user rating of 96%. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of Doom, Quake, and other similar boomer shooters.

Postal Brain Damaged is currently 70% off on Steam, costing just $7.63/£6.41. Offer valid through Thursday, January 9. It also offers a free demo that you can download and learn more about here.
