This Mom Is Confused About Target’s January Swimsuit Sale

When the first big snowfall of the year came, I realized how unprepared I was for winter. My daughter’s snow pants only fit. I squeezed her into those shoes from last season, like the little brother in Rafi christmas story.
Then, when it came time to put on the snow boots, (shocker!) they didn’t fit! This is a problem because if the kids don’t come to school with all their snow equipment, they can’t play in the snow during recess. My husband and I can’t let our poor behavior be the reason she misses out.
So, that morning, my husband ran to Target and found some snow boots in her size that he could deliver to the front desk before recess. However, when he headed to Target, he said the snowshoe options (in December!) were slim. He found a pair of snow boots with laces in her size and we just bought them. On the way home, he called me to vent to me about the weird selection at a store like Target. no Replenish winter supplies in the middle of winter.
A mom named Nichole Roberts wondered the same thing and shared her recent experience at Target.
“You want to know something that I’ll never understand? Retail. I mean I’m in retail, but I still don’t understand retail. Today is January 7th. There’s about 10 inches of snow outside. Because right now It’s January 7th, so there’s going to be more snow. Let’s pretend my kids tore their snow pants or they’re grown up and we go buy snow pants,” she said. .
Then, Roberts took the pants to the children’s clothing section and what did she find? Swimsuit!
“Swimsuit. Swimsuit. All over. Swimsuit. Swimsuit. No snow pants!
Several parents commented on Roberts’ video.
“This is so stupid. And then they all get mad because online retailers are taking over. Well, I can buy snow pants through online retailers in winter but not in a store down the street,” one user wrote .
Another said, yes. Snowstorm and Target stock swim suits.
One retail employee shared: “This is crazy – I work at Walmart and we are actually transitioning everything to spring and summer. Meanwhile, it’s 26 degrees and there’s a 90% chance of snow tomorrow.
Some people believe that swimsuits are a way to prepare for the upcoming spring break trip. Even if that were true, spring break is still two months away and there’s already snow on the ground as we speak!
Another user pointed out, “If you don’t buy those so-called swimsuits now because it’s really cold outside, they won’t be there when you really need them. 🤣😞🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ “
And this cycle will continue!
