This stunning wooden gaming PC is perfect for a minimalist living room

I love Scandinavian interior design, embracing a minimalist vibe, beautiful woods, and natural colors. That’s why I fell in love with this DIY Nordic gaming pc buildIts beautifully crafted custom oak casing is a testament to its creator’s skill and leaves plenty of room for upgrades.
This gorgeous Intel gaming rig is nothing like the usual black or white metal boxes you see in the best gaming PC cases. The solid oak frame is precision cut with rounded corners and aluminum mesh side covers to promote air circulation, making the entire structure look more like a classic radio from the 1960s than a full-size PC.
This particular PC came to our attention via an article on builds.gg, and it appears to be a work in progress since builder modfoller started building it in 2021. Starting from a piece of untreated wood, the box was slowly built over several months.
The Danish builder draws strong inspiration from the Scandinavian furniture era of the 1960s and 1970s for this piece, even adding removable wooden legs to the computer to give it a Like a side table. The case itself has a pop-up lid that provides access to the interior, and there isn’t any obvious IO on the front aside from the power button – a USB port would kill the ambience, after all.
The PC itself isn’t top-of-the-line these days, but it’s still a decent rig for 1080p gaming. There’s an eight-core Intel Core i7 11700K gaming CPU, a Gigabyte-branded Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, a 1TB Samsung 870 QVO SSD, a couple of Noctua fans, and 8GB of Kingston DDR4 RAM.
Fortunately, modfoller leaves plenty of room for future enhancements. The oak chassis is designed with enough room for a full-size ATX motherboard, ensuring the build can continue to grow and develop into the future. It’s a gorgeous gaming computer that’s perfect for a minimalist office, and I’m already thinking about how to incorporate a similar vibe into my next build, perhaps using a wooden case like the Fractal Design North XL.
