Historical survival sandbox game “Myth of Empire” launches 13 new DLC weapons

There’s a lot going on in the game, with massive battles and raids, tamable animals, enjoyable survival mechanics, and some excellent kingdom building imperial myth. However, the sandbox survival game will soon be getting even more powerful with a Persian expansion pack, and its developers have just given fans early access to more than a dozen gorgeous new weapons.
Despite some pre-release drama, Myths of the Empire finally came out as 1.0 last year to great excitement and reception. While the venerable sandbox game’s player base has dwindled, it still has a humble but dedicated community coming back to attract more players. One big moment that could make it explode again is the release of the long-awaited Persian Civilization DLC, the first major expansion for Myths of Empires. While it was originally slated to release before the end of 2024, developer Angela Game has just confirmed that it will “begin internal feature testing soon.” Barring anything really horribly wrong, that means we’ll be seeing it over the next few months.
Several aspects of the new DLC, such as additional vehicles and new caves inhabited by giant sandworms, have already been revealed, but now it’s the 13 new weapons’ turn to take the spotlight. To make the massive guild battles unique, Imperial Myths has a fairly diverse combat system, and these new weapons are equally diverse. From axes to sabers to spears, there’s plenty to choose from – and the rendering looks fantastic.
For example, there is a one-handed White Wolf waist knife. When you charge on horseback, it can be placed flat beside you and kill anyone who stands in your way. At the same time, the two-handed Saab blow hammer is highly resistant to breakage and “extremely destructive”. In addition to melee weapons, two bows and two shields have been added to the arsenal.

There’s no release date for Imperial Myth’s Persian DLC yet, but as mentioned, internal testing is underway, so it shouldn’t be too far away now.
