what you need to know

  • OnePlus 13R is expected to get not one but two camera upgrades, according to latest leak
  • The main camera of the mid-range phone is expected to be a 50MP Sony LYT-700 lens.
  • The OnePlus 12R’s 2MP macro lens is expected to be ditched in favor of a Samsung JN5 lens, which will serve as a 50MP telephoto lens.

With less than a week to go before the official launch of the OnePlus 13R, we’re now getting a closer look at the specs of the mid-range smartphone. While the OnePlus 13 is widely known due to its launch in China, the OnePlus 13R has more of a mystery. It’s loosely based on the OnePlus Ace 5, but has a number of unique tweaks. According to the latest leaks and rumors, the OnePlus 13R will feature major camera upgrades over the Ace 5 and its predecessor, the OnePlus 12R.

Leaker Yogesh Brar on X (formerly Twitter) has shared the rumored OnePlus 13R camera specs. The main camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-700 lens, the sensor size is 1/1.56 inches, and it uses a stacked CMOS image sensor. It comes with an 8MP ultrawide lens, which appears to be the same sensor used by last year’s OnePlus 12R. Finally, the third camera sensor is a 50MP Samsung JN5 lens with 2x optical zoom.
