Protein White Hot Chocolate – Skinnytaste

This 3-ingredient protein white hot chocolate recipe is too simple to share. I make this all the time and it’s my go-to on cold nights!

High Protein White Hot Chocolate
When I crave hot chocolate, it’s usually white hot chocolate. I made this simple, protein-packed white hot chocolate one night while trying to hit my protein goals. I microwaved it on a whim and it instantly became my go-to on a cold night. You can also cook it on the stove. It felt indulgent while satisfying my sweet tooth and protein goals in a cozy cup! White hot chocolate toppings
This easy white hot chocolate recipe requires just 3 ingredients for a warm, comforting treat. See recipe card for exact measurements.
- Vanilla Protein Shake: The flavor of this drink depends on the vanilla protein shake you choose, so choose the one you like. I don’t recommend using protein powder as it tends to be too gritty and doesn’t mix well. I tested several liquid protein shakes and found Fairlife Nutrition Plan Vanilla and Orgain Clean Vanilla Bean Protein Shakes to be the best.
- White chocolate chips: I used Lily’s sugar-free white chocolate chips to cut down on carbs, but any brand will work, including chopped white chocolate bars.
- spices: Add warm spices on top, such as cinnamon or nutmeg.
- Optional ingredients: Top the cup with white chocolate chips, white chocolate shavings, mini marshmallows, whipped cream or crushed candy canes for a festive touch.

I only make the amount I want to drink at a time because it’s so easy to make. However, if you have leftovers, refrigerate them for 2 days and then reheat them in the microwave.
